Moss grows on my Rose of Sharon

I have lots of moss on the branches of my R of S. Is this a 'red flag'? It is an established plant, 12-15 yrs old, w/ lots of green leaves and budding flowers.

Mine has lichen on it. It appears healthy though. I don't know if it means anything or not.
