I think I found where did the genes 'Plasma Ray Flow' of Emma!

Professor Yoneda has made interspecific crosses:
Ipomoea hederacea X Ipomoea purpurea ... this does not interest us at this time.
Ipomoea nil (wild) X Ipomoea purpurea
This cross gave the series Youjiro (pink, red, blue and Chacha maru ...) but also the series Fuji (Mount, no Sora , no Momo etc.....) that have become commercial Nil .
Enigma solved !!!
Then Dr. Yoneda has again crossed with a cultivar of Ipomoea Nil said Japanese strain
to obtain flowers that look like new serie of Emma!

What do you think of this?
Dany - Bravo! I think you found the missing link for the ray flow gene! You should have been an investigator ... you'd be a very successful one! :-)
I'm sure that genes are hidden in this mysterious family of MG !

Dany - I've seen others over the years post photos that also had that ray flow gene in their blooms. I stray mutant gene that comes to surface every now and again!
Plasma Ray Flow exists in Japan and not only in the universities!

The question I ask myself now is: where does the tri-foliage of some Purpurea cultivar?
