CLOSED: I need to know what kind of spider this is

Chesapeake, VA

Hi, I live in Chesapeake and I saw this spider while I was out watering my Sunflower. Seeing spiders that size is rare for us so I was surprised and hoping one wouldn't come in the house. We have three small children in the house and unfortunately one showed up the next day in an area everyone frequently walks through. The youngest of the children is my 1 year old niece and she has a habit of picking up or touching small things that move, like our hamster for example. So in the unfortunate event that she or one the other two kids gets bit by one of these things I'd like to know what they would be in store for. I did my own research before I came here and the only spider I found that looks similar is a wolf spider but I'm not sure. I would appreciate any help.

It does appear to be a Wolf Spider. They hunt other spiders and can bite pretty hard. But only if mishandled such as a small child would do. I relocate mine when they get too big for my comfort.
