My little harvest today.
I am still fooling the Squash Vine Borer with my PARTHENON zucchini.
Still some Okras.
Eggplants and peppers are growing, so they will be ready soon.
My cukes slow down with the cooling temperature ... so maybe they are at the end of their life.

My harvest yesterday, pretty typical over the past couple of weeks. I believe that the garden gods are feeling guilty about me having such an awful tomato crop his year so they are paying me back in okra and eggplant. Time to start freezing them as even my son is complaining, "We’re having okra for dinner again?" I counted thirty-one eggplants not large enough for harvesting yet and there are a gazillion blossoms on the plants, all Black Beauty variety. My favorite way of preparing the eggplant still is slicing and grilling them on the bbq grill while brushing them with a little garlic infused olive oil.

WOW Congratulations hrp50
I luvvvvv eggplants too.
I bought one of those 'mandolin slicer" from William and Sonoma and it really helps to slice the eggplants really thin.
Yummy !!

This is my last harvest of this summer 2011.
Look at that Zucchini! It is a MISSILE !!

Love my "Violetta di Firenze" eggplants and a few okras and still lots of cukes.

I am starting to harvest Black eye peas.
