Apropos of Nothing v.22

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

The 24th is a maybe for me. I can't make the 17th.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

I will send a bast d mail changing the date to the 24th, if that is more acceptable to everyone.
It will be better for me, cuz I have not been feeling so great lately. This buys me more time to get things done. And I have a few more cool solar lights added!

Kalispell, MT(Zone 4b)

Judi I shall send you here a Dmail: You are the most beautiful, wonderful, lively, concerned, involved, precious person that we get to share in this world of obnoxious people. Whoever sent those represent "NOBODY". We all love you and wish for your presence here to make our world a beautiful place. You remind me of my best friend Kip my border terrier. We need you! Steve.

Lynn, I hope you find some relief soon from your symptoms, so they will not be so debilitating. Your garden is amazing! I also hope you are not so busy with doctor appointments that you can rest in your garden and enjoy it sometimes. Remember it does not have to be perfect for visitors to come over. Gardeners like nothing better than to do something useful, like weeding. Let your guests do it for you!

Judi, I agree with others that the DG administrators could help if they are alerted to those abusive d-mails. That person has probably done this to other people, too, and the behavior is unacceptable. I understand needing to take a break now and then, since you lead a full and busy life. I'm glad you will check in.

Buckley, WA(Zone 7b)

Yes, Judi, please don't give up on the rest of us! We enjoy your company. Can you make it to the Roundup in Sept?

What is this? This is the foliage.

This is the flower and foliage. Coud it be an amaryillis of some kind. It did winter over this year. I planted it but no tag? Just hate when that happens. Has been here for two years but no blossom last year.

Hi, I'm back online now in case anyone missed me. Slowly getting through this mess of moving and reading some of the back stuff here. Indeed, I don't know how someone could take offence at you Judy. I would let DG know you are being harrassed. Maybe they could take care of it. You are one of our best and brightest. We need your ideas and opinions.

Nice to see you back on line!

I feel like I should be paying better attention to the apropos threads. At least now that I have participated in the thread I'll be notified.

Random thing I'm really excited about. I picked up an old crockpot today and turned it into a paraffin wax dip. Anxiously waiting now for it to melt and see if it can breath some life back into my gardening skin. My hands and feet get so thrashed every summer, my hangnails get caught on everything!

Hi, Hydro, I used to live in Burien. Well actually Boulvard Park. Off Military and 122d.

Julia I think that plant is "Naked Ladies" Amaryllis belladonna. But usually the have no foliage. Hmmmm.....
And where are your weeds? Most of mine are gone, can you believe it? I slaved all weekend.

Lake Stevens, WA

Thanks Linda!! You know I don't even remember where I got that or even planting it.

It was a good weekend to work, not to hot. We went to Ocean Shores Saturday. Just for the day. That was fun.

Needed a space to post this link.. Guess this one is as good as any other. I was sent this video today. Having been doing nothing in the garden except keeping up with the oak leaves...(pain in the Neck!!) this gave me hope that spring will be here soon... enjoy!

thanks for sharing, Bea. Very pretty.

That looks especially inviting after all the snow the northeast had. Thankfully it missed us, but not by much. We did see some flakes in the wintry ,I'd we had. A cousin north of us will probably be without power until Wednesday or so. That much snow on leaf-laden trees is very damaging.

Cedarhome, WA(Zone 8b)

Way cool. So many of the flowers appear to be dancing as they open.

Union, WA(Zone 8b)

Thanks Bea, That was beautiful. Maybe it will last six months.
