CLOSED: Bugs in veggie garden

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

Ok, I tried to look for these in different bug ID places, but could not find them. They are on my okra, eggplant and cucs. The first is about 1/2 inch long, black and red body with stripes down the "butt". I could only get a blurry picture. They have also been mating! Any guesses? It's on the lower left of this cuc leaf. I can't tell if it's a sucking bug, or eating other bad bugs. I will try to get a better picture today. They don't stay still long. They do fly. They don't look like a real hard bodied beetle-type bug.

Here is another bug, that is brown and looks like what I used to call "food roaches". Ick, I hate bugs...

Can't really see the first one but your second one is a cockroach. Perhaps, a German Cockroach?

Houston, TX(Zone 9a)

I've never heard of a roach being on plants! Is it a good witch or a bad witch??

(Zone 7a)

Cockroachs eat just about anything. They're omnivores. I have never heard of them eating other bugs.

Then I will "flick my bic" as another DG friend says! Thanks for that ID! I'm going on a photo shoot now to see if I can get a better pic of the other guy...

I got a much better picture of the bug that has been on many of my plants. They especially like to mate on my okra. Oh, you two just take that somewhere else... :)

Now I've seen something that may be totally different or a baby whatever of the thing above.

I can't seem to ID your first bug. My thoughts are it's a Longhorn Beetle of some kind. Not sure if they're good or bad.

The second is, I believe, a Lady Beetle larva. A good bug.

Maybe I should offer a reward to the first person to ID that orange/red and black bug! Thanks for trying, kwanjun.

(Zone 7a)

No problem. Can you see if you can get a pic of its head? In that last pic, it's hiding.

Ok, more pics of these little sex maniacs! Excuse the bug porn...
Any ideas?

THAT'S IT!! (Charlie Brown reference...)

Okay, so I won't eat them. And I see that they are good buggies, so I won't squish them.

Thanks a bunch, Flapdoodle! What's a Flapdoodle? :)
