We first saw these in the early evening near the eave of our house. Still there this morning but as the morning progresses there are fewer. Can anyone tell what they are and if I should be concerned? I can't tell if they are getting in the eaves/attic or just hanging around outside.
Help! What are these?
A friend just came over and told me he thinks they are mud daubers. Agree?
Mud Daubers will build mud nests. Do you see any of them around or started? If not they might just be passing through. Of course when they are all bunched up like that, one shot of hornet spray will take care of things.
they kill a lot of harmful insects so if you don't have to kill them, don't. they'll probably just trying to find a cool/possibly damp spot.
