Last year, I had lots of these but I've only seen a few this year. Can you tell me what it is?
CLOSED: Wasp ID
Oddly enough, it's a Red Wasp.

They are an aggressive species of wasp around their nest. They will attack and sting with out provocation with a sting that rivals that of a hornet..very painful and causes an area the size of a baseball or larger to become very sore for several days from their potent sting.

Oh, gee. I'd say "I'll be careful" but isn't this a wasp that builds a nest anywhere and everywhere....?
Thanks for the ID, kwanjin.
They like to build in cracks and holes in soffit and such. If you don't believe what I say about them, then you will just learn it the hard way....I suppose. Don't worry...They will teach you very quickly.
I'm willing to learn the easy way, Mike.....thanks!
LOL....you will be much better off and less painful that way.
