What kind of beetle larvae(or is it something else?)is this?

I live in eastern upstate NY, near Albany, by the Sacandaga lake. I actually found it in my home, but I was hoping someone here could help me out. =] Thanks!

PS - Sorry the image is so blurry. My camera is broken, and I have yet to go get a new one, so I had to make do with my cell phone. 8 MP are pretty useless if it can't focus or process images for its life!
