Bubbeez Fond Du Lac, WI(Zone 5a) Jun 30, 2011

Found this guy on my cherry tree tonight.
The orange things on its back are spikey.
I need to know if it's friend or foe. :(

Any help would be appreciated.

Although blurry and distant, it looks like it could be a lady beetle (ladybug) larva. Perhaps the common Multicolored Lady Beetle? Tis a friend.

Either that or a young tussok moth caterpillar of some kind.
