That's terrifying!

I'll try to see if I can get to the seed, Sterling. Finches do a real number on the zinnias and anything sunflower-like. Meantime the produce is starting to roll in and the flowers in and around the veggies are adding lots of color.

Bubbles is doing a good job taking care of the garden though she doesn't like to weed. I never seem to have a camera in hand on days when she's got dozens of morning glories on her "dress".

love the veggie pix... I went out yesterday evening and picked fresh tomatoes, squash and cucumbers for dinner...

your garden is beautiful!

btw: that creepy crawler was on the raised bed closest to your door - what a prickly looking fellow!

Thanks about the garden. Maybe the bug folks can ID it. I've seen those hairy scary ones around before but not in the garden so they get left alone. There's a pipevine (Dutchman's pipe) growing on the deck rail but I don't think it's a pipevine caterpillar.

ok - I put it over on the ID forum... we'll see what they say.

Try this. http://www.npwrc.usgs.gov/resource/insects/cateast/polyinte.htm

It looks like what they (really) call a Question Mark Caterpillar
