CLOSED: Huge fly left little white mounds

A black flying insect, that looked like a huge fly, about and inch and a half long, left a white mound of creamy substance on my window. I could see it producing tiny little white creamy things from its bottom, and these all made up a much larger mound. it was gross, and so I sprayed it off the window. What kind of insect am I dealing with? And why, fo you can tell me, is it leaving the white stuff?

Thanks! Those photo's look pretty close to what it was up to. Why it chose my brand new house to lay it's eggs, I don't know. It came back after I made it leave to continue laying. I think its Mydas Fly.

I've had it happen on my windows before too. Don't ask me why.
The kitchen window above my sink actually. Nothing in my house to feed on either, so I guess it's an act of desperation, and maybe the windows are warm?
