Pirata piraticus maybe?

This looks like the 6 Spotted Fishing Spider, Dolomedes triton. This and other fishing spiders actually dive below the surface of the water to catch invertebrates and sometimes small fish while they carry bubbles of air often trapped around the hairs on their legs. They normally stay close to water.
I frequently see these in your area, and I don't think that Pirata piraticus is found in the southeast US.

About it being poisonous, the spider in your photograph contains poison glands as do almost all spiders. Because spiders deliver the toxin through injection (fangs) we can call them venomous. The question is whether it is a spider that is dangerous to people. The answer is no.
I agree. Just was peeking around BG. I'm not super awesome with IDing wolf/fishing spiders but I can at least get the gears turning a bit =)
thank you, thats awesome... makes alot of since considering i found it dead in my pool... the pool hasnt been cleaned in 3 years so the water is very green... thanks again..
