And you can just laugh if you want to but I really want my clematis to survive the summer! I bought white kid umbrellas, butterfly and flower stickers and a pack of 6 colors of spray paint from Oriental Trading and made my first "decorative" sun umbrella. Ziptied it to a thin garden stake. I have 5 more to make and hopefully save a few more plants from the intense heat. Wish I'd had them earlier for my poor fuchsias!
And we have not gotten one drop of rain yet. The rain clouds go north and south of Katy. :(
Desperate times call for desperate measures...
You may set a trend!! Cute and resourceful!
Oh! I should do that with my tomatoes!
Brilliant!
that is a great idea! I just threw sheets over my stuff yesterday afternoon!
In the high winds we have had lately the sheets or umbrellas would have been in Louisianna by now! LOL!
It is better after a couple days of showers but the heat will move right back in, always does.
I talked to my girl friend in OH yesterday am and she said they were having too much rain so I told her to do a rain dance for us and send some our way.. I guess it worked...lol..
