Can anyone tell me what this tree is? I have several in my new yard and do not know. Thanks!

Show some closer images of leaves, stems, any fruit or flowers, trunk, etc.

From this distance, I'm sensing a Hackberry of some sort - but that's kinda WAG-ing.

Single leaf. This tree makes no flowers or fruits. Just a shade tree. Thanks so much for any help I can get.

Thanks so much!!! I appreciate that. It kind of has the bark of a birch but definately NOT the leaves. I thought they looked elm also. They are pretty trees.

Agreed. At least Celtis sp. falls in Ulmaceae...

Cannabaceae? You are making that up.

If it isn't in Gray, Rehder or Krussmann, it just can't be true.

OK, maybe a Spell Czech is in order. Could you mean Cannabinaceae, lumped in with Cannabis spp. and Humulus spp.? Googling this offers both spellings with the same plants - so this must be it.

Just shaking my head...

Basically, DNA analysis showed that Celtis is more closely related to Cannabis than it is to Ulmus.

Hackberry and Hemp are cohorts in KY - with Hemp being the former extensive agronomic crop.
