Sorry, I should've tried to get more of the back of the bug. I see a lot of these true bugs, if that's what they are, in the kitchen garden and wonder what they are.
Interesting thing was that it looked like the assassin bug was either having trouble finding a soft spot or keeping its "mouth" in the bug or maybe it was just done feeding. Couldn't tell but the bug didn't seem to be dying so maybe it was just having trouble puncturing it.
