OSPREYS! The new season is underway.

I may have been wrong (it happened once before) about no eggs having been laid. Pete went to the nest on the weekend and is certain they were acting as if the egg/s have been laid. Madame X hasn't seen any mating for a couple of weeks and she believes they've been seriously sitting for almost as long. I'll go to the nest this afternoon, armed with every bit of heavy gear I have and view from a slightly higher point and see if I can see the egg/s. Unfortunately they've chosen to include what looks like a plastic bag in the nest cup. You should be able to see the white stuff in the nest, under Big Hook (at the front). The eggs are below and just on the other side of the plastic.

If I get anything exciting this afternoon, I'll start a new thread.
