CLOSED: What kind of Bee is this?

We have a wooden deck off the back of our house with timbers. We have "bees" that come and make perfectly round holes in them and then climb in. The look like big bumble bees yellow fuzz with black on them. I think they also have a white spot on their head. I swat at them when they come near, but have never been stung.
