Thank you so much!!! I have been so nervous all day! I have a 4 year old, a 3 year old and an 18 month old! I told my husband that if it was a black widow, we would have to move! Again, thanks so much!!!

My mom has black widows like mad where she lives. I have a 3 year old daughter as well. They pretty much stay in their own little spaces, and aren't roamers, so I've found it best just to tell my daughter that spiders are "bad bugs" and not to touch them because they hurt lol.
SHe avoids them like the plague.
When she's a bit older I'll be able to explain better hahaha.

But even if it WAS a black widow, and you only find one or two, it could be years before you see more.

My dad found some in the garden when I was REALLY little. Over the years he only found a handful more.

And at my mother's original home, I found a single one living in the downstairs doorway.
My stepdad was shocked, and that was the only one we ever saw.
