The bug was found in a package from china, dead but has come in contact with human skin.
Can it be contaminated with bacteria? and What kind of a bug is this?
CLOSED: Need identification of this bug
I cant really see it clearly enough to identify, however, I CAN see what looks like a hole in the side of it.
It looks like it probably fell prey to a parasitic predator of some type.
The type that lays its eggs on or inside the host, then the offspring eats it from the inside out, eventually emerging.
Maybe.
Like I said, I can't even really see what it is I'm looking at.
But if it makes you feel better most things that effect bugs dont effect us at all.
Just remember to wash your hands and you should be just fine.
possibly some kind of asian cricket?
Whoops that part of my post got cut off. It looks like a grasshopper or cricket to me as well. (My internet went out while I was trying to post lol)
Cant see the head very well but it looks like it might be the shed exoskeleton of a dragonfly nymph http://www.flickr.com/photos/zosterops/3218978789/
thank you for the identification :)
