I think they're hurting my plants. They're orange with black legs and the tail end curls up. They started on a hydrangea and then moved to the beautyberry which is right next to the hydrangea. Note the smaller white versions of them underneath the leaf at the bottom center of the picture. Both plants show damage where I found these bugs and I never saw any aphids or other bugs that assassins feed on. If they really are assassin bug babies I don't want to hurt them. But if they are assassins, what's causing the damage to my plants? The blooms are dying and some of leaves are turning brown. This is only happening where I'm finding these bugs.
