I haven't been able to find this bug anywhere on the internet - maybe because I don't know enough to place it in the right genus or family. No one around here has been able to ID it for me, either. I live in Baton Rouge, and this guy was just hanging out in front of my door on the 2nd story balcony. Thanks for your help!
Baton Rouge bug mystery
I believe this is an immature leaf-footed bug in the family Coreidae.
It is a Leaf-footed Bug nymph - Coreidae. I am pretty sure it is Genus Acanthocephala, not sure on the species though.
Will be one of the species below....
Species- confraterna - Acanthocephala confraterna
Species- declivis - Acanthocephala declivis
Species- femorata - Acanthocephala femorata
Species- terminalis - Acanthocephala terminalis
