LOL - Holly, that must be it - lemon balm, and it does smell good. As you can all tell, I have much to learn in the plant identification department... I had no energy to go outside the last few evenings to finish the planting in the horrible heat wave. This evening, the temps are much nicer and I am off from work tomorrow, so I'll be heading out as soon as I get changed into shorts and t-shirt - I've already got on the right footwear. My feet hurt so bad this morning that I wore my very comfortable garden crock knock-offs to work today - hope no one noticed :-)

Hi Terri - I agree on the heat being too much for doing much gardening. I make it as far as my houseplants on the porch and give them a drink from time to time when the heat is so horrid, but stop short of actually getting in the yard to do anything. Thankfully, it is much cooler here again today and after the sun goes down I plan to go out and work a bit with some canteloupe seedlings I have ready to go in to some soil.
Oh gosh.....aching feet......have those issues from time to time myself. I remember with my first pregnancy and in December wearing Dr. Scholls expandable sandles to my job because they were the only things that fit. That is the day I gave notice and stopped working until after my son Ben was born.....thirty years ago...where the heck did that time go???
Since the weather seems bearable today, John and I will be getting a few of the plant swap plants to their new homes later. I tried researching most of the plants and made notes on where they should be the happiest. I am sure that as we work our way through all those wonderful goodies that I will still have questions about planting and care tips.
In case I missed thanking any of you who so graciously shared your bounty with us, let me do so now....Thank each of you for your offerings to our flower gardens. We will do our best to tend to their care.
Who ever came up with the idea for plant swaps, should win an award. I know that they are something that both John and I love attending. Again, a special thank you to our hostess with the mostess....thank you Terri.

Hi Ruby - the event is not by invite. It was on the list of Round-Up events. Someone came from as far away as Iowa!
I guess I tend to associate myself more in the mid-Atlantic region for some reason and don't know where I fit in, but I guess you can go to any RoundUp you can get to physically. :)
We are going to the RU in KY in September, methinks.

Hi Amanda - Oh yeah, I don't usually check with the Round Up forum, so am not up to date on all that are occurring. I do know that so many folks have great times at all that are attended. I am so glad that folks in the Mid Atlantic began having the swaps some years back. I have always thoroughly enjoyed the ones I've been to.
