Love to garden that way.
Favorite annuals
I bought some of that torenia today after seeing yours, Jo! I got a 6-pack for $2.00, so I was happy! They were at a farm market. I also went to Five Acres Farm which Patti tried to clean out yesterday. lol She left me a few nice tomatoes, cukes, broccoli, coleus and a very pretty little begonia....oh, and two small fuchsia plants....very good day, plant-wise!!!!
you won't be sorry with the torenia .. esp at that price.. they play well with coleus!!
The neighbors cleaned up the raised bed of raspberries which has been all weeds for 4 years. All the sons #5 were here. The beds were their idea. They left home and the parents cant weed as much as they would like and apologized so many times they brought the kids back for the holiday for yard work.
Nice family and a good job I think
Terrific. Hope it stays that way.
Very nice! berry bushes can be hard to control...im having issues w/mine now! LOL
We eliminated the blackberries - way too much branching and sending up new plants. We kept the raspberries but they are always emerging in the vegetable garden so today is the day Jack will be digging up the strays.
Blueberries are so well behaved!
Neighbors are proud to have Black Raspberries and make the destinction when conversing about them. These are black but dont habe as many seeds and no long inner "thumb"
Here are my torenias

I bought some pretty dark blue ones this year JoAnn.. but I do love em all
Beautiful Robin!
Think it's from Select Seeds....
I like to fill in the beds with annuals. My favs are snapdragons.
I have that one too.. too cute!!
Ge, thats a good shot...yours? You should put it in the PF as there were none when I looked so I entered a few.
No its not mine. The yellow is from Romence Gardens. I have the silver, pink, and moon.
Pansies. and violas and more pansies. I never have enough. Some are in the ground and some are in containers. I have them in half baskets on my chain link fence and a bed of blue and yellow ones planted out front. This cool wet weather has been just great for them. I don't mind deadheading them either.
I love nasturtiums too because they remind me of my Granny who had big beds of them in front of her house in Oklahoma. For containers, I like 'Alaska' because of the variegated foliage. for hanging baskets, 'Fordhook Favorite' because of the large flowers and trailing habit. In the ground 'Jewel', 'Peach Melba' and 'Empress of India' . And, you can pick em!
Cosmos too. Sometimes the purple ones get so large that the birds can come and sit in them and eat the seeds in the fall.
Oh, well, I guess I have a bunch of faves. I love coleus as an annual too.
Martha
