My juice jars and milk jugs worked fine for WS. But I also tried the plastic bag routine; I
had a lot of failures there because the tops flopped over and the plants were cooked.

How can one handle that. I am going to summer sow now. Does anyone have any
suggestions there? I have 8 packets of seed I mean to start (saving half as backup)

I've used a few gal jugs i had left, shallow rotisserie chicken containers, or just 4" pots -- some i have put in clear 'lunch bag sized' bags and twistied the tops, others are just out in the elements. i figure, it's one step above direct sowing -- where the seeds can be washed away by all the rain we are getting.
