I was doing a little prep work in my garden yesterday and came across about 15 of these curled up under a pot that had been sitting right on the dirt ground all winter. Looks like the larval stage of something to me, but other than that I'm stumped and my field guide didn't help much. It's about 20mm long. Any ideas?
Thanks,
John
Burrowing larvae in VA?
I think thats a beetle grub and it would be very difficult to ID a grub. Beetles is a huge group.
