I know. But it sure would be nice if Joe and I could actually go somewhere together, and if I didn't have my heart in my throat every morning hoping none of the neighborhood bunch is lying in the road.
I wouldn't mind fostering, if someone else would take them after, but getting 21 cats s/n last year about broke me.
Need a name for my coop
I understand, our vet gives us 'volume' discounts for that. Too bad it is not also tax deductible.
Oh well, gotta make money to need tax deducts.
I got a reduction and 1 free neuter, but still....
Catmad - Don't know if you have considered using the humane society to do you s/n. They have one in Greenville, SC (which I think is close to you) that charges S/$49 N/$29. Here in Charlotte we pay 71/53 so that is a way better deal than we get. That's what I get for being in the big city.... Good luck with your kitties.
Yes, I considered it :) I have worked as a vet tech with low cost s/n prgrams for many years, and researched the service they (and other programs) offer. While the price is very good, the other reports I got were not. I paid about twice as much, but I was not only able to be in there and drive them nuts, I was the "recovery nurse". I was able to be very sure they were well monitored.
Sometimes least expensive costs more in the end.
Thank you, though, I appreciate the time you took to find out for me :).
I considered doing it myself for my animals, but I just took them to my regular vet. Actually, both my cats are rescues that were fixed already - they came from the pound. But I was thinking that you were just getting them fixed (because they were fostered) and then giving them away to others. If your keeping them then yes I see how you would want the best for them no matter the cost.
Well back to the name thing,my daughter likes hen haven so I think that is what I going with. Thanks for all your help.Warmer today but overcast hope I get some work done today.
Green's Hen Haven: Sounds better than anything I could come up with. I am enjoying your pic's and progress on the new addition. Thank you so much for your sharing and caring...Hay
Or Hen Heaven :)
Now your name makes sense! It's so sad the way some people treat animals as disposable. Thanks so much for taking care of them! We need more Catmad's in this world!
