Green Eggs & Ham?

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Or Green's Eggs & ham! LOL

The coop guide on BYC has a ton of good names, of course it's a copy, but it will give you good ideas!

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Bridgewater, ME

Mint Hill, NC(Zone 7b)

How about Green Acres or Pettycoat Junction

(Zone 5b)

I like Cluckingham Palace and Green Eggs & Ham.

Mint Hill, NC(Zone 7b)

just thought of another 'poop deck'

hahaha ... at least that is what my coop is turning into. I'll be glad when I can let them into the run once it is finished.

Bridgewater, ME

Good ones!

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

I like Green Acres. And Green's Eggs and Ham, but you'd have to get a piggy for that one to work *G*.

Richmond, TX

Everyone should have a pig!

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

I've seriously thought about it, but the ones my friend had turned mean, and became sausage. That's not for me, I can't eat anything with a name, which pretty much covers anything alive that lives here...

And truly, I don't need any more mouths to feed :(

Bridgewater, ME

My grandkids call me MeMe,how about something with MeMe in it

(Zone 5b)

I so want a pig! Wish there was a place to stash one around here. They're so smart!

Richmond, TX

They are indeed!

Langley, WA(Zone 7b)

I'm dying for a pig too. Have you read The Good Good Pig?

Ok, something with MeMe in it. Let's see......

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

Annie, you and me both! I absolutely LOVE pigs! I want one so bad it drives me nutz!

Bridgewater, ME

Just come from a chicken swap(rained hard all the time)and my friend bought two baby pigs,so cute.I bought nothing dh will be very happy about that.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

I MIGHT have a chance, cause the neighbor, (where my chickens are) is going ag... He was parking trucks/trailers on his property, but the county got after him, so he swears he is going in the hay business and gonna get horses & Cows... if that's the case, I will be a big help to him! I'm sure he has never had either.. so if I'm a help to him.. well.. umm I'm sure there is room for a few pigs!!!!!! LOL I want a breeder and we can butcher what they produce..

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

See, that's my big problem. I just wouldn't be able to eat Wilbur once I've met him. That would be just one more pet, and pigs live a long time, I think. I DO understand I'm a complete hypocrite, but so be it. If I had to provide my own meat, I'd be a vegetarian. Which explains the three 1600 lb pets.

Lodi, CA(Zone 9b)

If I take them to be processed and just pick up the meat, I could. But not if it was done here..

(Zone 5b)

I'm with you, no way could I eat something that was named!

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

ZZs, I could get them loaded, and start driving. Then I'd begin to remember them as babies, or the cute little trick one did, and we'd just go for a nice drive, and then go home. Maybe if I left for the day, and someone else loaded and took them away, I could do it. But eat the result? Not at this point, though someday that may change. I've gotten more squeamish, not less, as I grow older. As a kid, I cleaned fish with no problem, but I find I don't want to any more.

Ferndale, WA

Catmad you had me rolling, I can so relate. I used to kill, clean, eat and no problem. I can't even think about it any more. I can't even take my chickens in for proccessing anymore. Good Lord what has happened to us...LOL

ZZ's said she wanted a little pig so bad it drove her nutz, I was just thinking, "glad thats a short trip"...ROTFLMBO...Hay

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

Poor ZZ. Hay, that wasn't nice (*G*). I know "I" wouldn't even need to pack a lunch were I to take that journey. Or have I already done it? I can't remember....

Not to be morbid, but I wonder if my reluctance to take a life has to do with all the people and critters who have already left me. Maybe every life that's part of mine has a bit more importance to me than it once did.

Oh dear. Think I need to finish my coffee.

(Zone 5b)

I so agree with you, every life that is a part of ours is more important. No coffee needed for that, wise Catmad!

Also, I was wondering about your screen name, are you mad for cats..... or mad at cats?

Richmond, TX

Or maybe both?

(Zone 5b)

LOL

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

but I always thought it was better than the MadCatter.

Richmond, TX

Oh, I rather like that...

Pelzer, SC(Zone 7b)

Hmm. May use that podster, if you don't mind. Probably a bit too accurate, but who cares.

Actually, it may be a little of both, with mad-as-in-crazy being the operative part. For some reaon my life has been inundated with felines for the past 30+ years, longer if you consider Blackie, the pet of my childhood. I've been involved in cat rescue that long. I keep trying to retire from it, but it doesn't seem to work....

Deep East Texas, TX(Zone 8a)

Use it as you wish... lol Just please don't retire, there are too many needy felines out there. Too many folks still need educating...
