thoughts on door prizes at the roundups

Houston Heights, TX(Zone 9a)

Wish I lived close enough to Glenna to stop by regularly and "help" her dispose of her llama poop. That is really good stuff. Thanks for the trade Glenna.

Cleburne, TX(Zone 8a)

You're welcome.

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I like the door prizes and really love the idea of getting poo for my flower beds. I really try to bring things I won't necessarily buy for myself but would like to get. It is so much more fun as I am sure we all try to do the same.

I got some of blkraven2's painted rocks in Jacksonville for a doorprize and I really really love them.

Wells, TX(Zone 8b)

Im glad you liked my keeping my self sane busy work!...lol...

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I really do but most of all loved seeing you and everyone else.

Garland, TX(Zone 8a)

I don't have any poo to share but I sure love getting it. That said, in 6 years, 2-3 RUs per year, I've never yet won any in a door prize. For me, the door prizes are typically something I have to go out and buy--one more thing to do while I'm trying to cook food and prepare plants and pack up my car. I could do without the extra errand to the store.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

You could use a plant for the door prize Pattie.

Abilene, TX(Zone 7b)

patrob, next time I come through Goldthwaite could I stop and get some of Leo's poo? Just kidding, I don't think my husband wants to ride all the way back to Abilene with manure in the car. I would consider it well worth it, just roll down the windows, but you know some peopel are so unreasonalbe. :)

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

You are welcome to all of Leo's "product" that you want to shovel up, but the aged goat manure in the shed is much better with fewer weed seeds. Goats have a digestive system like llamas, and their manure is excellent for gardens. At this stage it is like good soil and has no foul odor. D-mail if you decide you want some. :>)

Abilene, TX(Zone 7b)

You'll have to explain what d-mail is. I'm kind of new.

Goldthwaite, TX(Zone 8a)

D-mail is the internal mail system on Dave's Garden. At the top of the page, in the second row of tabs, is one labeled "Mail." When you click on it, you are shown the options. On the right side under "Actions," select "Compose Mail," and there you go!

Lewisville, TX(Zone 7b)

I am a crafter so I like giving away the items I've done. Last year I gave away a few birdhouses that I painted.

Josephine, Arlington, TX(Zone 8a)

I think that is very nice Cindy.

Abilene, TX(Zone 7b)

A birdhouse would make a great doorprize.

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

I received a birdhouse windchime as a plant trade one year...love homemade gifts.
