I think all the snow you get up north must be partly responsible for all the beautiful trees and grass.
Do you ever wonder why Arizona is so hot and barren, yet no more south than I am in the panhandle of Texas? This world is a rather odd place. Arizona heat is sometimes 120 degrees. Here our all time high is probably 110, and that is very rare. Why the big difference?
It gets so cold in the north I often wonder how the plants survive, yet they are much more lush than here. Must be the moisture of the snow and the hardiness of the plants there. The trees don't seem to mind the cold at all.
The realization that wildlife thrives in Canada with 30 degrees below zero temperatures just floors me.
This is an amazing world.

Staring the addition to the coop
Thanks for sharing the photos! Your property is lovely! I, too, feel blessed to be able to live out in a rural area!
I love the photos too. So green, so beautiful!! Where is your garden???
Green, your pictures are beautiful! I just looked at them twice, some three times.... Can't get enuf of 'em!
A couple questions.... Inside your hen house, do your chickens really roost up that high?? Wow!
Also, what breed are the chickens shown that are "helping" your husband? I think you said the one is a Buff Orp (in the center) but what are the other two?
I really like your daffodils, too (or jonquils, depending on what you call them up there.) They're gorgeous! Goodness, not even buds on your trees yet, that I can see. Here in Tulsa we have a big ol' elm tree beside our house, it's fully leafed out and is shading my garden patches too much. Will have to cut lots of branches back again this summer, I can tell now. But I still envy you that beautiful landscape and scenery, with the hills behind you! So beautiful!
I don`t have a veg.garden not enough time to take care of it by the time I do everything else.I will take pictures of my gardens when IT STOPS RAINING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My carpenter did not show up today either, could have got a lot done in the garage like buiding the sides and front .called him but still no show. The coop that we are adding onto is not level so dh had to jack up the back with handy mans,it was level when he buit it but has settled over the years.I am so tired of rain.Got some silkie eggs comming tomorow for my broody sikie, blues blacks and cuckoo, hope there is lots of cuckoo, she said her silkies are all in togather so I don`t know what I`ll get.A dozen for 15.00 not bad and they don`t have to be in the mail system. Forgot to tell you what breed of chickens those are Laz,tow golden comets(the red ones) and an easter egger.

Those golden comets are both so pertty. I didn't realize there would be such a difference in their coloration.
Well, people on this forum like to dance.... and the Indians used to do dances for rain.... Maybe someone could do a "STOP THE RAIN dance!" For your sake, I do hope it stops raining soon. Too much is just too much!! I also hope that carpenter will start being more dependable. What's with him, anyway? Does he have other jobs that pay more that he's working on? Maybe he's doing alot of jobs, and doing everybody the same way he's doing you! Just keeps everybody hanging on! That can get irritating! (Big sigh!)
Very nice... I love it...
No other jobs thats why I thought this would mover along quickly
Still no carpenter,dh will have friday and Sat to work on it.Buy Sat. is called for rain again. When we get started again I`ll start a new thread with just pictures of the progress.
It's beautiful, God's country! The chicken runs are awesome!
Oh, what gorgeous daffodils!! Those represent lots of work getting them planted! How long have you had them, long enough for them to multiply and spread themselves??
I`m guessing 20 years or more, its hard to remember I have so many gardens.
I can almost smell them!
Thank you for all the pictures! What a beautiful place you have!
