Tulips Re-appeared this spring

I have many "new" tulips blooming in my sideyard rose bed. Funny thing is that I planted them years ago, they bloomed the following spring and maybe even the year after (can't remember) but the past two years they deffinatly did not bloom. Now suddenly this spring there they are back and all blooming this spring. Feels like new tulips and I just had forgotten about them until I see blooms. I find this re-appearing strange.

Cool! What a great surprise. Also, it is nice seeing another section of your yard. I have seen much of the terraced part but it is nice to see another angle :-) Your gardens and yard look terrific, Rita, and blend well with your house's architecture and color.

That is the rose and lily bed that runs along the south side of my house. It looks quite full now because of the spring bulbs of Wood Hyacinth, daffs and tulips which are also in there. Plus there are some Honeysuckle and Clematis vines on trellis along side the house. Of course as soon as the roses put on their new spring growth it also looks quite full. I cut my roses way, way back each spring so it looks empty at first until things get growing.

I have an old craftsman style house.

I also have tulips that definitely did not bloom last year. I love surprises like that.

However, I have a ton of tulips that bloomed last year that have shown foliage but no blooms. Go figure.

I have been happily surprised by the tulips just coming back this year.

New photo today.
