Supposed to get to 82° today
Weather in Your Garden # 95
60, sunny with possible rain or just clouds coming in later.
62°, wind from the East at 6 mph, partly sunny.
Going up to 67° today, becoming mostly sunny. Clouds moving back in tonight with showers. Tonight's low 54°.
Weak sun right now, going to high 60s, showers predicted for the next few days.....
currently 71 with 76% humidity
going up to 80's today.
Sweating like a pig out there. Why is that phrase used? I didn't think pigs sweat - that's why they like mud.
smell like one.. LOL
From Wiki
..."Sweating like a Pig" to denote sweating profusely. This sounds illogical, as pigs have ineffective sweat glands, but the term is derived from the iron smelting process. After pouring into runners in sand, it is allowed to cool and is seen as resembling a sow and piglets - Hence "pig iron". As the pigs cool, the surrounding air reaches its dew point, and beads of moisture form on the surface of the pigs. "Sweating like a pig" indicates that the pig has cooled enough to be moved in safety.
Thanks, WC. That was interesting. I had heard of pig iron.
47 and rain, AGAIN!
News Headlines: "Swarm of Quakes Rock Parts of Maine" really? http://www.wmtw.com/news/27763079/detail.html
I never felt a thing and I don't live very far away. LOL
Good thing they are minor....30 is a lot! Got to 73 here today!
Evidently im worse than Randy, he sleeps thru tornados and I just don't feel/acknowledge quakes. Guess my world is already rocking! ^_^

cold and rain all day
hope it dries out soon
Glorious day here - all sunshine and a light breeze so it was ideal for garden work.
Wow didn't feel anything???
Top down day here, took a leisurely drive south to go see my bro
83°
Expecting some real heavy rain overnight
rain rain rain.. started last night and still going... 63 now.. looking like it's getting cooler later at 55.. might need to put the heater on in the GH tonight & tomorrow night.. going to be pushing it
Rainy, dark, gloomy and cold. But very very green.
Overcast with rain expected. Good morning to make a vat of meatballs and sausages.
Raining. 50.
dreary with drizzel 45, the next 9 days say the same thing..... RAIN and /or SHOWERS
How depressing.
Raining here, too. temps will be falling all day.
rain here - need it and better now than the weekend
60°, wind from the Northwest at 9 mph, cloudy.
Going down to 58° today, with periods of rain.
Cloudy with rain likely in the early evening, our low for tonight 42°.
Down to 54 out here but very bright. Might get in whatever gardening I can get done before the rain comes.
Raining steadily, and 50 degrees....going into low 40s tonight & tomorrow night....must bring in the plants I kicked outside....I say we all eat at Pirl's tonight!
Six planets are aligned in the dawn sky for the next week or so. All but Saturn. Maybe that's why we got Bin Laden??
sprinkles overnight. Temp is supposedly 64° It doesn't feel like that. Feels chilly & it is overcast.
Cool, I have to see if I have a good view..
57°
Yes - crappy day. Just turned on the stove.
No sunshine here but not bad outside at 58. We should have rain by 2 PM, just in time for a nap since the vat of meatballs, sausages and peppers is all done.
Put my cactus collection back in the mini greenhouse and turned on the light. I'm not depending on the sun to keep them healthy!
Rain started around 1:30. I'm always surprised at how much I can get done with the threat of rain hanging over my head. All 159 lupine babies were planted between yesterday and this morning as were all yarrow babies, more 1" maple trees pulled (60 from just one little garden!) and two plant packages made up and sent.
Now for a nice rainy day nap.
50 and sunny. No time for outside as I have prom dresses to get out before Sat.
Managed to get both dogs walked, but needed to change rain jackets in between......
Rain stopped so I'm heading out just for continued cleaning, not planting.
Was gorgeous here yesterday. Sunny, hight 70's by late afternoon. Today, rain, rain, rain until just now. The sun's out and it's beautiful with all the pollen washed away. Had to turn the heat back on however. Too cold and damp. It's back up to 48 now.
wood stove... going on
:(
Guess the nice warm day yesterday kept the house warm for today, didn't know how chilly it was outside till I let the dog out...brrrr
Rained all morning, slept the day away
