Weather in Your Garden # 95
.07" more
This storm carved over 200 mile on the ground, they are saying it is the longest one ever to touch down and stay down in American history.
Japan gets help, Haiti gets help....where's our help?
Don't hold your breath.
There's nothing but sunshine inside my home this afternoon. After five long weeks in the hospital my son has been released and is back in his Connecticut home.
Thank you for your prayers.
Not enough rain here to even fill the bird baths.
Great news, pirl!
Thank you, Victor. I'm thrilled!
Holy freakin' crap....it does look like the destruction in Japan
Great news Pirl
Didn't know about your son, Pirl....just very happy that he's home! Rained torrentially today while I was shopping in Torrington....umbrella was no help! Rain stopped, I walked Robs, but started to pour once again....just reached the car when the thunder blasted.....just one crack......now, the sun is peeking through.....very late planting my cold crops....
Thanks.
We're also late, Marilyn. Maybe Saturday.
Grand total of 0.6 inches here, had to fill up the birdbath myself...
Glad he's home Pirl!
I'll have to fill up our bird baths, too.
So am I. It's a great feeling for a mom.
What was so unusual about those tornadoes was how wide they were.
glad to hear about your son Pirl... we were whacked with something today power lines down everywhere... trees... and they had the bridge barricaded off that goes over our lake down the road... my guess is that the road flooded.. but I am not sure... I had to go through a maze of streets to get home tonight.. good thing Randy and I wander back there looking for others christmas lights.. so I kinda knew where to go

That whole page has different videos, one clip show the twister crossing the road right in front of the guy. One on the the bottom of the page it starts out w/one build, but it gets worse it goes. :(
Thanks, Allison. We once had two trees downed around here and there was no way out until they got the trees removed.
Pirl so glad your son is finally home, what a long road!!
Indeed! It will be six weeks before he can return to work but I'm just happy he's home.
Joining you in your joy at your son's homecoming. :)
Tstorm today and very windy, cooler now.
Pirl I hadn't heard about your son, glad he is home!
What crazy weather. I'm so sad for the people who've lost loved ones and homes. It seems so much worse this year. So many people died.
We had heavy rain and some thunder and lightening this morning, but sun came out this afternoon and the breeze coming in the window feels much cooler than it's been. I'm just hoping that we're not going to just jump into the 80 degree days from the 60's and no transition. Cold wet rain to hot humid rain. No spring?
Pirl, I'm glad your son is recovering. It must be a relief to have him home.
Thanks, Jan, Debi and Candy.
We never got the late day sunshine out here but I have no complaints. A quick shower just passed but no huge amount of rain.
46 degrees with sun coming up. What a difference a day makes. It's forecast to be dry and pleasant this weekend. I can't wait to get working outside! Lawn was mowed Sunday but it already needs mowing again.
guess it was worse than I thought... and I am luckier too
