From Buds to Flowers, Lets see Yours. Vol. 2

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

The clem. is lovely. Hi Arlene and everyone. I've recently purchased a double pink and a double blue clems. Haven't decided where they are going to be. Decision, decision. lol

(Zone 7a)

Be sure and share pics when you get them! LOL

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

That Bluelight is gorgeous!
Lily, I was reading some doubles are single in hot climates. I will look forward to seeing the blooms too.I have my fingers double crossed for you!

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Bananna, I've noticed the same phenomenom. The blue double was in bloom, so I'm pretty satisfied with it. The question remains for the pink double, for I haven't seen it making buds yet. I forgot their names, will look at the tags tomorrow. :)

Waiting with bated breath.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

When the sun comes up I will chesk Kiri te Kanawa and Multiblue They have buds but not open.Same for the first annual poppy.
The drawbacks of being an early riser.

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Whoa! ge, you sure do start the day early! bananna18, the blue is Frisca Maria and the pink is 'Empress'. I've some scattered blooms of 'Fireworks' perhaps at present. But April and May was my peak for clems. here. Surely do miss those blooms.

Wow! That is a beauty!

Colleyville, TX(Zone 8a)

Now that is another I would like to know if it is a double in hot climates.

Pittsford, NY(Zone 6a)

I have no idea. Its the first year it's bloomed here.

Hurray for Henryi! Isn't he just beautiful?

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

Yes, he's.

(Zone 7a)

He certainly is! I wish I had more flowers rather than just one at a time.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Strange but that's how Henryi has been for me this year as well. Same with Candida.

(Zone 7a)

The fun part is this one got sprayed with weed killer and didn't even flinch. He wiped his eyes and continued growing.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

They can either be tough to grow or amazingly resilient.

(Zone 7a)

Blue Light is struggling now. It's in a giant pot but doesn't like it. I have to find room somewhere in the ground for it. I have room but nowhere for it to go UP.

(Arlene) Southold, NY(Zone 7a)

Not a tree, a shrub, a gatepost, a lantern post, a gutter?

Go outside and make believe you're the clematis and find a place you'd love to show off!
