We were growing some plants until they had a decent root system to plant in soil in this small container of water.
When we took the plants out we found strange aquatic worms in there.
Amongst mosquito larvae there were these strange worm like things in the water wriggling around.
They look like crane fly larvae but had transparent skin, I could see black stuff (like feces) and a network of what looked like veins. One end of them was very skinny or pointy with a brown or black tip, the majority of them was quite fat (for its size). About 3CM long.

Strange aquotic worms in old water
There are many types of nematodes that live in water, and ponds.
I used tyo see them all the time in my mom's fish pond, and they were a favorite treat to stir up for the goldfish.
