I so envy you brug growers who live in Florida and the southern states. I will get a May flush and a November flush. But I love my brugs and they are worth the wait. Heres a Noid that I think is Dr. Duess. (from last year)

Thanks! I can cut mine back to the ground here just before we get the bad weather and it does go down to 20 here and hold it. Last year I cut Pink velvet off at the ground and drgged in all her limbs put them in a bucket off water. She is now everywhere lol. The mother plant has grown 3-4 ft and is flowering now. Last year I dug all mine up potted them and put in green house for the winter so not doing that this year there all staying in the ground way to much work. Would love to see your cross of Maya and Kaitlyn. Last year while it was cold I had to leave so no heat in green house heres a plumeria that was nipped by the cold lost one tip but now have 4 lol

I wonder if my wild thing is the same as wild and crazy? I have BT, and AT I wonder what the difference is? Hmmm..
Still waiting for ANY orange, and any double to make it to a bloom here.. this is only my third year for brugs.

Mulberry, FL

This is going on my third year I have some great looking white brugs out here that was sold to me here I think as Charles Grimaldi lol Do you keep yours in pots or the ground? I put mine in the ground. They don't dry out so quick as the pots

well I thought Dr Suess was a yellow too.. hmmm

Maybe this year I will see Brazilian Treasure and Autumn treasure blooming side by side. That would be cool to compare.
I like whites becasue they seem so pristine, but my Kaityln Brug has really taken my heart.
this was her last year in July. She bloomed all summer and even in the basement garden thru winter.

Doctor Sues is a yellow with the difference of temps it has alot to do with the colors. I am like you have been collecting for the last couple years. This year should be exciting is for me any way to see all these different flowers grown from 6 inch sticks or seed to see a 8 ft plant that came from that little seed is neat. Good grower here to Madeline I would like to see if her color changes with the higher temps

That Madeline has a beautiful form. I like the tendrils flipping up like that.

Hi there!

The blooms are beautiful. I will be receiving some brug seeds from Patricia as well and was wondering how long it took for your plants to bloom from seed? I would like to keep a record of her crosses and post pictures of the blooms from her seeds when the time comes.

Thanks!
Elizabeth

Mulberry, FL

Thanks Elizabeth you will have fun with them. I had the plastic tags you stick in the ground. for each plant with the info we have armadillo's here that come out at night a dig. Tags were all over too bad I now use aluminum tags you scribe on. The other plastic plant tags you use marker for the marker fades away constant battle with the name tags keeping them straight. And then there's taking too many pic's and then putting the wrong name to the picture lol Its all fun good luck with your seeds ! Went to Epcot today to see the flower show blows you away what they do there

Thumbnail by Danasplants
Brandon, FL(Zone 9b)

For plant markers, I print a picture of what bloom will look like, use hole punch to make hole in picture (on edge) then lamilenate, then use hole punch again where hole is in picture, this way it is completely sealed , then use plastic wire tie to put on plant ((as you can see with Pink Perfektion tag)).

Those are great tips! How long did your seedling take to bloom from seed? I can't wait to receive seeds from Patricia as I'm sure she will have some promising crosses.

Elizabeth

Mulberry, FL

It takes a year or more depends on your conditions Dirty girl you are just making it way to easy for the theives to pick what they want lol

Thumbnail by Danasplants
Brandon, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL, then they better smile, cause we have security cameras everywhere!!!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Great Idea DG, SO far all my brugs are marked solid. Just need a little more sunshine for a few days to get the ones that I got as cuttings growing. The Brug trees I have are leafing out like crazy now.

Mulberry, FL

After all this have lots of these ended up with close to 25 pods as long as hurricane, tornado doesn't come along should have lots of seed.
