I remembered the utensils, so you have plates and napkins also? Great!
I have a package of 75 big plastic cups left from the last RU. I'll also make a mozzarella cheese dip and bring an assortment of fresh veggies for dipping.
I am making a taco salad which I guess is a main course. Also 2 bottles of soda.
I will bring 4 bottles of coca cola.
I will bring a dessert, or assortment of desserts. :)
I will bring:
1. Case of water
2. Salad.
3. And maybe homemade whole wheat rolls.
Ok, looking good guys!!
A few questions / comments...
Glenna is your salad a green salad? Are you bringing dressing?
Cheryl I have put you down for something other than cokes.
Glenna is your salad a green salad? Are you bringing dressing?
Will be like 4-bean salad mixed with greens, tomatoes, veggies, etc., and will bring miscellaneous dressing.
I was having trouble coming up with a veggie to be eaten cold so I got out the books. I found fried okra, pangrilled sweet potatoes (in butter of course.), pan-grilled squash, asparagus or okra in olive oil and garlic, sliced tomatoes, 3-bean green bean salad, carrot pineappple salad. Thot this might get wheels turning on what to bring.
Thanks Glenna!
Cam, you are too on top of it.....got my stomach growling.
Sheila, my guest will be bringing poached veggies in white wine. I forgot what veggies she said, but she said this tastes good at room temp.
I will bring some fried chicken.
Three should be enough. Only reason I ask is we have got there and the cans they provide were full from the night before.
Store bought desserts will go just as fast I am sure!! See you Sunday!
Hey Everybody!!! don't forget about the door prizes, you bring one for every person in your group.
Josephine.
I will bring a Broccoli rice casserole and black bean vegie dip with chips.
Thanks for the reminder Josephine!!
Yes....everyone will get a door prize, but you need to bring one per person. If you have a child they will participate in a kids separate drawing, so please get a small item for them to bring too. Dollar Tree has some great things that would work.
Adult gifts need not be new or expensive, but need to be non-gender specific. Items like yard art, books, hose nozzles, potting soil, hose holder, a flower pot, etc. We will hold up an item, then draw someone's number.
I got a call this morning & thought someone had seen where I added my Mom & I to the attendance list yesterday. Actually, she was just cking to see if I was in town or coming up for the Arl RU. She wanted to know if I was bringing Sopapilla Cheesecake. Well, guess I can do that if you don't think we have too many desserts already!
Sheila, LMK!
:~)
Chipped Roast Beef BBQ, with Wheat Rolls to make sliders.

Thanks ladies, I will add them. Linda A....get ahold of Sylvia and light a fire under her, she hasn't been on here other than to say count her in. Traded nothing so far even.
I can make a pot of my tasty pinto beans and bring in a crock pot.
Let me know.
What about extension/electric cords - I can bring some.
No electrical at the park.
We will bring a layered salad and a chocolate cake.
Art and Muffin (Linda)
Put you down guys.
We have a new member from Arlington that will join us Sara2624 and her DIL. She dmailed me, she isn't a subscriber as yet. Coming with plants, bread, and door prizes though.
I will bring a regular bean salad as it will be better than the potato salad I was thinking of.. then remembered it would need to be kept cool..I would have brought a cooler but would rather not if I didn't have too!! hahaha
So, my bean salad will be just beans, onions in it's vinagrette.
Thanks
One of my guests has had to back out..but I'm sure that will be ok.
All is good ....see you there.
FYI, we eat pretty soon after arriving but then it does sit afterward.

Sheila, I'm bringing a watermelon salad, paper towels (3) and all the plastic ware.
Chuck, bring them pintos even w/o the crock pot unless you just want to hold then in the crock pot. One of my favorite veggies!!!! Hot, warm or even cold. They won't have time to go bad!! I'll bring some onions to go w/them!!!
:~)
In case you need to call us to let us know about something here is Frank's cell
817-706-9518
I hope the rain holds off and we will have a good time.
Josephine.
Sybil....Kate is already down to provide the plasticware, but thanks for trying.
Chuck, like Smockette said, we are used to eating barely warm, doesn't bother us!
Dress warm and wear a raincoat, and take an umbrella. The plants will be loving those showers.
Has anyone ever made an RU recipe book to hand out to every one before? I only ask because I always here people asking for recipes at every RU. If y'all think this is something everyone one like let me know and I'll be happy to make one for the fall RU.
