Need Insect Eggs Identified

Crawfordville, FL

I have been finding these eggs in the garden the last couple of weeks. They are always on my swiss chard or spinach leaves, and they look like a mass of small white grains of rice. I have included a picture, sorry its so blurry. I don't know whether to destroy them, or maybe they might be the eggs of a beneficial insect? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

well, it's not easy to identify the eggs as a good deal of insects lay eggs very similar to these, however i can tell you from experience that when eggs show up spinach and other leafy greens it's usually caused by an insect that eats those leafy greens or whose larvae eat the leafy greens. if possible, you may wish to wait to see if something comes out of them and then maybe send in a picture of the larvae which could help us better identify the bug. however, because of the possibility that those bugs that hatch out of there won't be beneficial, you may want to remove them before they hatch. or, (just got this idea), remove an egg covered leaf, place it in a jar with air holes in the lid, and wait a few days to see what comes out. :)
