Split down the middle today

This doesn't happen very often.

Notice the date:

10/11/01

The first 3 numbers are a mirror of the last 3 numbers. I like dates like today.

the only cool date thing i have is that my son was born on my birthday. my birthdate doesnt have a cool number tho but it makes it easier for DH to remember dates...now he tells me to plan our next kid to either have on one of our bithdays or our anniversary.... I'm not letting him get away that easily!

Baker City, OR(Zone 5b)

kikisdad and darius, I was here for 4/4/44 etc as well. And my oldest child was born on his father's birthday. Have a funny story to share here. When our son was about 20 he got into a minor mororcycle wreck. The local police dept was sure he must have had a memory lapse when filling out the accident report since the name, address and birthdate were the same as what he listed for his dad. It really had them scratching their heads for a while. They called us to check. Today my hubby asked me if I noticed anything strange about today's date.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Hey, it's a numeric palindrome instead of an alphabetic one like RADAR, SIS, or MADAM I'M ADAM! If you like wordy stuff, check out this info on palindromes and their history: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Ask-The-Rick/message/5

My maternal grandparents were both English teachers and grandpa later edited textbooks. He had an award someone once made for him as a joke. It was called "The Golden Palindrome" and was a little plastic C-3PO figurine (a la Star Wars) mounted on a piece of styrofoam and holding a gold pencil...Sharpened at both ends. :o)

montgomery, AL(Zone 7b)

My DH was around on 3/3/33.. was anyone else.. I wasn't..

One of our math teachers at school sent me email yesterday, wishing me a happy symmetry day (10-11-01). I hadn't noticed until she mentioned it. I'm always sending the math teachers emails wishing them 'happy prime number days', 'happy perfect square day', etc. So finally one of them got me first!
