My son gave me a lovely bright yellow shrimp plant. I've read that cuttings and division is the way to propagate, but I'm wondering if it also has seeds. When the white flower falls off, it leaves a tiny green "stump" that on some of the spikes turns black. Is this the seed?
I've looked in all the data bases and not one mentions seed. Anybody know?

Shrimp plant seeds?
Shrimp Plant - as in Cerinthe?? It that's what you have than yes... the little black "stumps" are the seeds. They're hard to collect because they fall out when they're ripe - just like 4 o'clocks do. You might want to put something under the plants to catch the seeds. I think it was Dave that mentioned he put a garbage can lid under his 4 o'clocks to catch seeds.
