OK, I've seen a couple of good natured rivalries going on - let's have it out! I now live in NY, but am originally from Eastern PA - grew up a Philadelphia anything fan. My DH is from Pittsburgh and to keep the peace, I have also become a big Pittsburgh fan. My favorite Sunday afternoon activity is to host football parties (of course cooking while watching Terry and Howie on FOX!)
GO STEELERS!
GO PENN STATE!
Favorite Sports Teams
Well, we have been Bills fans in the past, but I think our loyalties headed west whith Flutie!
Guess - Go Cornhuskers! Although, I haven't been to a football game for many years. I went to a volleyball game several weeks ago which was a first. They are still my favorite team!
My favorite NFL team is the Washington Redskins. My dad was a fan so I grew up liking them. My backup teams which I have needed a lot in the past years are The Browns, The Packers, and The Vikings. As you can see I seem to like the underdog.
My favorite College team would be The Ohio State Buckeyes. That is the only college team I will watch.
Ooh, my kids would be upset if I didn't mention that they are NY Yankee fans. What a strange combo we have.

Hmmmm, do you really wonder who I root for on Saturdays? Tennessee, of course. Although MY alma mater is Univ. of Tulsa. Never heard of 'em? Well, let's just say it's more an academic institution than athletic, although we have produced a lot of fine basketball coaches over the years; in fact, it seems to be a prime scouting locaton for southern universities.
And of course we like the Titans - we like 'em more when they win, though.
Basketball? Well Pat Head Summit does a pretty good job with the Lady Vols. Men's basketball? It's just something we do to pass the time until football season cranks back up.
We also cheer for the Colts since our beloved Peyton Manning does a little QB'ing over there. Have I told you my daughter is named for him? Yep. Sure am glad Heath Shuler was gone before I got pregnant - that would have been a tough one to work into a girl's name :)
Next?
Cindy..I grew up in Roxborough and dh was born in Pittsburgh..so Philadelphia and Steelers here. Also Buffalo Bills cause I lived there for awhile.
Good to hear from everyone - speaking of names, did I mention that our 2 labs are named Rocky(Blier)and Franco(Harris)? :)
Georgia Bulldawgs!!!!
My son played safety for Liberty University and I pull for them and then those Auburn Tigers from the lovliest village on the plains. WAR EAGLE !!!!!!!!! In baseball it's my grandson's team, which this year was the twins and last year was the phillies. In the majors it's the BRAVES ALL THE WAY.
I do say arf arf for tiG every once in a while.

I've been a NY football GIANTS fan since 1951 when Atlantic Refining Company sponsored Chris Shenkels telecasts of the games in black and white. Shenkel worked the games alone and began by describing the two teams uniforms a la the Washington Redskins are wearing maroon jerseys, maroon helmets and gold football pants. Love the long tradition and not about to change now...Go Big Blue!

Prior to meeting DH i was a New Orleans Saints fan, even through ALL those bad years. After we got married it was the Bills. I got quite attached to Doug Flutie and thought it was awful what happened when wonder boy (Rob Johnson) was able to finish out the season...anyway......
I am now CHARGERS fan...i love flutie and that was enough for me to switch teams and follow a new one.
jen
the only football I watch is college football
"""GIG 'EM AGGIES!!!!!"""
I LOVE the Dallas Stars Hockey team..as far as pro football, i dont have a fav, but I LIKE the miami dolphins (only because dolphins are my fav animal) I like the raiders and i think thats it. I like watching pro baseball but only if im actually at the game...so I like the TX rangers of course too. I used to have some NY yankee PJs if that counts. :-)
Gardenhubby shame on you! :
