CLOSED: What kind of bug is this!?

Lancaster, CA

This thing has been invading my nightmares.. and my home! I live is Southern California about an hour north of LA, every night my out side wall is covered with these things, they stay towards the light, and by morning their ether all gone or laying dead on the ground. are these things dangerous? can they hurt me?

that picture actually came out very light. these things are a darker red color and they have what appears to be a stinger on the back end , only it sticks out behind them instead of in front.

It's an Ichneumon Wasp =)
Subfamily Ophioninae.
They can sting, be careful!
