Found this in the Arizona Desert just south of Buckeye. I know there are a lot of wasps and ants in this area but this doesn't seem to resemble anything I've seen before. There were a bunch of these guys all crawling around inside a bush as well. Just really curious because Im out there all the time.
CLOSED: Bug ID?
Identified it myself once I considered it was something other than a wasp. Turns out it is an iron cross blister beetle. (http://www.arizonensis.org/sonoran/fieldguide/arthropoda/tegrodera.html)
