The Common Yellow-throat has eluded my camera for some time, but a couple days ago I had one visit that wasn't too timid. He entertained me for hours.

Seems it's been a good couple of days for getting birds that have eluded the camera!

Ring Ouzel - see them every year, but first time I've got a pic

Wow so many wonderful birds! Congrats guys!

Lakeview, OH

I now have a problem, Grackles and blackbirds on my round feeder. I only put a small amount in it because they can find other things to eat, but if I stop putting the seed in the feeder than the sparrows will eat the suet. It is getting a little frustrating, I may have to stop feeding the woodpeckers for this summer, I can't afford to buy the suet that does not melt, it is expensive!

Norman, OK

I like that Red Grouse, Res. Do they taste like chicken? I thought so.

Had a Black-chinned Hummingbird on my honeysuckle yesterday. A little unusual here, but I've had them the past two summers. I have two feeders up, honeysuckle, red columbine, autumn sage blooming, but haven't had a male stake out my yard.

BB babies are growing, but two eggs haven't hatched. The others hatched Friday, I'm getting concerned about them. This was taken yesterday afternoon. You can see the eye is opening a bit.

Yes so many wonderful birds.

I did put up a hummingbird nectar feeder a week or so ago. Haven't seen any interest in it yet. I still am not able to go outside very much, Uneven ground so that my walker even with its large wheels is hard to move around. Haven't seen any bluebirds.

My son had to go back to his home and work. Sure miss him. I have to go see my surgeon April 22, So my son Greg will make another gas expensive 5 hours one way trip to get me and take me to Dr office.

Thanks for all the great bird photos.

Beautiful warbler tiger and Resin I love your grouse!

Teddy, it does get frustrating and sometimes you do have to stop feeding at least for awhile and maybe the unwanted birds will move on.

Another find yesterday was this pair of Eastern Towhees!

Teddy glad to see papa r-b is enjoying your suet.

Nanny, congrats on the Hermit Thrush. I haven't seen one here yet. Cute photos of yours. I wonder which nest your cowbirds will use this year? Great shot of the towhee pair!

Tiger wonderful photo of your yellow-throat!

Resin, great shots of your Ring Ouzel. Reminds me of our robins. Love that Red Grouse too!

Red, I do hope the rest of the eggs will hatch. Your baby is adorable. Love that eye and all the fuzz.

I caught this Scrub Jay just as it was taking off for the birdbath below it.

I've been seeing this male Nuttall's Woodpecker in the trees around our yard, but it hasn't come up to our peanut butter log yet.

I went out and checked my upside down feeder, I had to put a new one in, now that the sparrows have figured out how to get the suet, it goes a little faster. Have not seen any Starlings on the woodpecker feeder so I might just stop putting feed in the round one. Maybe as you said they will move on. It is nice to see some sparrows enjoying the birdbath, I just saw one drinking from it, do Hummers drink from them also?

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Love those Galahs Margaret. They make a wonderful start to this thread. Hope you can capture the the glow of this already gorgeous 28.
Duc , nice condos at the Osprey's nest. So fascinating to see all four coexist.
Hack the Acorn Woodpecker is on the dead tree. There are 2 Starlings close together, at the middle of the nest and a tiny bit to the right. And the Sparrow is on the bottom right of the nest. Osprey on top of nest ;)
Resin love seeing your birds, great shot of the Red Grouse.
Thanks for sharing your Spring birds all, nice to see new action at the feeders.

Love the shinny colors of the Grackle.

OH burn, you poor thing, you still have snow!!

Grand-Falls, NB(Zone 4a)

Yes Marna, but I have a few crocus in bloom, close to the foundation of the house. Still quite a bit of snow on front lawn, but see it go down everyday. We'll get there eventually, lol.

PERTH, Australia

For a long time I've been wanting to get some shots of a Nankeen Kestrel. The opportunity presented itself this afternoon. They are quite a small raptor and this one was cruising up and down just above the dunes at the beach, searching for insects or grasshoppers.

There were probably a dozen of them on the bitumen, but they flew off just after I took this shot when a dog came along wanting a bit of fun.

Excellent flight shot of the Crested Tern!
