Hello all, I currently live in a ground-floor apartment in Hoboken, NJ. Over the past month or so, I've come across the bug seen in the attached photo 3 times. They're not very big, about 1/4 to 1/5 inch long. They don't look like bed-bugs to me, but I've looked at a lot of insect identification sites and can't seem to match them to anything I've looked at. Thanks for the help!

This is a spider beetle. They are very common in the tri-state area. See http://ento.psu.edu/extension/factsheets/spider-beetles for more information and management advice.
