A friend of mine bought me a package of mixed seeds last summer during her travels - I assumed these would be really old seeds and probably not viable (turns out she bought them from a national botanical garden!0 Anyway I carefully sorted the seeds and planted them expecting about 10 % germination. I think I easily got 90%! Seedlings are marked with descriptins of the seeds - like "shiny little black ovals" -
does anyone know of a good site that has images of seeds and seedlings so I might identify what I have so much of ^_^
Cheers,
Seandor.
seedling identification
Try this site:
http://theseedsite.co.uk/index.html
I used it to identify seeds that were mixed with a lot of chaff, to make sure I kept the right parts. I read about the site somewhere on DG and saved it at the time, but have no idea who posted it...thanks, whoever you are!
