Okay, it's time. Just about everyone has had something blooming now. (Celeste's crocus was the green light. ^_^) So it's time to kick off a new year of beauty - no limit on posts. Show it off!
I'll start with a nice double hellebore.
Spring Blooms - 2011!!
Beauties! Love the bee one - great color combo.
I think it's Glory of the Snow.
Been too lazy to change lenses to the macro. Use whatever is on!
- Thanks, I'll see if I can order some for fall planting.
(Don't be lazy, use your macro! lol!)
Wow, you're way ahead! Very nice.
These are all in sunny, sheltered areas, Deb.
oh boy!! love the double hellebore.. and the Ranunculus!!! (don't those need to be started super early.. ETGB sent me some free with my order)... and just seeing the bee makes me happy!!!
Victor, I had to laugh at the begining paragragh...
"Celeste's crocus was the green light" they were but now they are covered by at least 8 - 10" still! Hopfully today they will be visible again.
Your shot of that hellebore is scrumptious!!! Love, love that color...I think you out to pair it up with Debi's on the other thread!

Yes, they would look great together, Celeste.
Love Olmstead's work, Jo.
Gorgeous photos! Love the one with the bee. Haven't seen any in my yard yet.
I guess I didn't look hard enough when I started my thread. Thought there wasn't one. I had looked either yesterday morning or Sunday night. Oh, well. Guess I'll just go with this one. Too bad there's no way to merge them. Here's a link to mine so you guys can see what's been blooming at my place.

I love Olmstead's work, too. There's a park in Scituate, MA that he designed called World's End.

Hmm - never had that. Sure it's not from some temporary condition - weather, etc.? Is it throughout and on all leaves? If it's truly fungal, I would try any of the normal anti-fungals.
Pretty Deb!
Allison, that double queen is lovely!

Yes, very!
hate to say it this way but it's spotty on the leaves.. just here and there.. that is a sort of wet spot.. all the rain might have caused it... and believe it or not.. looks like something has been eating my stinky hellebore.. don't see any slugs though
Oh, my! Looks like I resized my pics really small from today. Gotta go fix that before posting more.
Karen
Like the white blooms Jen and Karen, that's a bunch of snow drops.
Thanks, Jen.
Karen
