Half inch long; Found in Phoenix, Arizona; Sept 8, 2006
Moth #2
BugGuide.net has identified this Moth as two different Moths.
The 2nd and 3rd photos are Ponometia sp.
I went through all the species photos on this link of Ponometia:
http://www.boldsystems.org/views/taxbrowser.php?taxid=51443
And found only one that was a close match - P. bicolorata.
It is the first picture on this link:
http://www.boldsystems.org/views/taxbrowser.php?taxid=341178
So I will mark this thread as half-solved, unless I hear back from BugGuide.net about it.
The Top photo has been identified as Family Crambidae, I am now searching for this one.
Xeno.
FYI: I just searched every photo in the Family Crambidae in BugGuide. I did not find a match for the top photo.
