That is not a Cricket, it is a grasshopper or locust (locusts are just large migratory grasshoppers).
Yours could be the Yellow-winged Locust Gastrimargus musicus, which comes in two colour forms, one green and one brown: http://davesgarden.com/guides/bf/go/2056/
