Hello all. I am definitely a newbie on this forum and am in need of some help identifying something. I found this one around South Point, OH.

Neither an insect not a spider, this is a free-living mite in the family Trombidiidae known as a velvet mite. They are general predators on other small arthropods - see http://tinyurl.com/25l64ap for detailed information.
